Bravo! Thank Philippine Daily Inquirer, for giving this individual a platform to spew his idiocy! Thank you! Thank you thank you thank you!

Thank you Isagani Cruz, for dashing my idealistic notion that conservatives could be sensitive to their morals yet maintain a sense of understanding to those who don't share their viewpoint! Oh well, let's be Kantian about this: you're the exception that proves the friggin' rule.

Dum dee dum. How nice it is to wake up to a steaming cup of bile so early in the afternoon! (And the reason for my waking up so late wasn't because I was out doing evil gay things but rather another sinful enterprise: Dungeons and Dragons until 5 in the morning! Bwahahahahah!)

I soooooo wanted to tear up this morning's newspaper. Who the fuck cares about his five macho sons?

The worst part is that I have to read his fucking international law book as part of my review.

Oh well.

It could be worse.

You could have to MEET HIM IN PERSON.

I pray that none of us ever has the misfortune.

OH MY GOD. That article was just so...offensive! The only thing missing was a call to stone homosexuals in the street. Offensive doesn't even do it justice.

Oh well.

Makes you wonder how someone so well-educated could be a total dick, right?

Re: Oh well.

Conservative macho Catholic, that's why.

I was reading the column, to put my finger on why it was so offensive. I think it's the equating of homosexuality with soft feminine traits, and the implications of weakness, which is so mind-bogglingly medieval. It's gender-offensive all around.

Re: Oh well.

"Conservative macho Catholic?" sorry dear, but now its your turn to be offensive.

if you really want to be heard write to the inquirer.

I don't think it's offensive to point out how a person's values are probably the basis of his bigotry. The fact that it has something to do with religion isn't going to make me hold my fire. Or were you referring to the macho tag?

As for writing to the Reader's Advocate, that would probably be a good idea. I've stopped subscribing to the Inquirer anyway.

Well, I always thought his commentary was stupid anyway.

I think Kuya Colo also didn't like one of his previous columns, on UP professors and courses being far too liberal.

omg mahar, i can't believe that actually passed through to the general public. his sons are probably all gay, and scared nuts of him. he's probably in the closet and fighting it, and this is his last stand against himself. haha. GROSS.

my gosh, that's an evil thought!

I'm pleasantly entertaining it.

A part of me, I must admit, was tempted to just send to via the Inquirer tons of gay porn, if only to send the message that he has earned the ire of a horde of homosexuals.

Reminds me of one of the characters in "American Beauty" (I think the one played by Chris Cooper). The super-macho military guy who ended up kissing Kevin Spacey. Can anyone say repressed? Haha.

Christ, what a bigot! He's about one step away from saying that gays are the bane of society. And I actually like some of Cruz's columns... this is a letdown. But you know, the Inquirer probably allowed this thing to be published precisely so they could get lots of mail. A little fire and brimstone oughta increase their readership for a little while.

Dungeons and dragons, eh? Have you ever played Neverwinter Nights? It's the videogame equivalent, it's an RPG that uses AD&D rules. I've been hooked on it for a while now.

Food for thought

A man named Vinny dies and goes to hell.

The Devil says to him "Hey Vinny we've been waitin for ya!".

Vinny smiles and walks with the Devil and the Devil says "I gotta ask you a couple questions, do you like to smoke?" Vinny answers "Ya, I love to smoke." The Devil says "Good you'll like Mondays we smoke everything cigarettes, cigars, weed everything."

"Now do you like to drink?" Then Vinny says "Of course I love to drink." The Devil replies "Great we drink everything on Tuesdays you will fit in great."

"Do you like to have sex?" Vinny says "Hell ya sex is the best." The Devil smiles and replies "Us guys have sex with every type of woman you could think of on Wednesdays."

And the Devil finally says "Now, are you gay?" Vinny frowns and answers "HECK NO I'm not gay!" And the Devil looks down and finishes "Your gonna hate Thursdays.. and Fridays... and weekends."

dead in the water

So MLQ3 has admitted to being gay... and a potential political career is now dead in the water.

Sheesh.

I don't think your comment is necessarily true. Who knows that the name of Manuel Quezon can bring? Also---political careers are not solely limited to being a politician. As long as one is active in politics, one can have a political career.

I would prefer that you at least sign your name/handle beneath your comments. Anonymity is overrated, quite frankly.
